Kimberly Whiter has made education her mission. At first it was is in higher ed. Now she helps clients find solutions for the high cost of elder care. As the owner and CEO of Elder Care Solutions Whiter and her staff help clients navigate a confusing system to find the most affordable way to help care for their aging loved ones.

Kimberly has authored a book to help caregivers find solutions to the high cost of care for the aging. It took her a year to write Hacks for Long Term Care: Ideas for tackling the overwhelming cost of elder care. In it she explains why finding care for loved ones is so difficult. Sharing the love of food

The Virginia Cooperative Extension is looking for foodies. The Master Food Volunteer Program teaches participants research-based knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, food safety, and physical activity. Through this program you can combine your love of cooking, nutrition, and helping others into a way of serving those in our community.

Master food volunteers go through training to lead programs on food safety, preparation, preservation and more. Virginia Cooperative Extension agent Dawn Barnes shares all the details in this edition of Sisterhood of the Second Act.
