The Art of Horses
Meet Leah Coffman. She rediscovered an old love, painting, and turned it into a second act. Nature is one of Leah’s great influences. Animals both wild and domesticated appear as themes of her work.
Leah’s own horses have served as an inspiration, but it is the plight of a herd on the other side of the country that inspired a painting on the Sisterhood of the Second Act set. Several pieces of Leah’s work graced the set of Sisterhood of the Second Act in season 2.

Our “Meet the Artist” series features the beautiful artwork that acts as a backdrop to our Sisterhood of the Second Act interviews. Look for more features on international potter and sculptor Carlos Dowling, and painters Bobbie Canton and Susan McLaren.

As a result, local newscasts and print are filling their programs and papers with stories outside our region instead of local content. We seek to fill this void offering content with local faces and landmarks.
