Self-awareness
Feeling stuck in your personal or business life? Business coach Anne Millehan talks with host Kathy Heberle about skills to move both your professional and personal life forward. Developing or improving skills such as time management, active listening and self-awareness will keep you moving in the right directions.
Self-awareness helps you to respond appropriately during difficult times. Active listening can stave off problems and help you de-escalate tense situations. Anne Millehan shares her knowledge with us in this episode of Sisterhood of the Second Act.
Hospice
Danielle Alexander is the outreach coordinator for Good Samaritan Hospice. She helps health care providers, care givers and loved ones understand what patients are going through at the end of life.
Bringing hospice into the situation does not mean a patient is giving up, in fact, Alexander said patients with hospice live longer than patients who do not have hospice care.
According to the Good Samaritan website, “Hospice is specialty care for people living with advanced illness who wish to focus on comfort and relief from distressing symptoms rather than curative treatment. Hospice is a philosophy of care that promotes quality of life and the alleviation of suffering.”
In this edition of Sisterhood of the Second Act we learn the benefits of hospice, when to turn to them for help and how to choose the best hospice care provider for your family.
