Your Local Real Estate Market
The warm weather months are here and if you are thinking about selling your home you will want to listen to realtor Monica Nicely. On this edition of Sisterhood of the Second Act Monica talks about how do determine what your local real estate conditions are and what you should look for when you are trying to find a realtor.
She takes us step by step through the preparation of buying or selling a home and what you should do if you are selling and moving into a retirement or assisted living community.
Home repair scams are always in season but the warm weather seems to bring out even more con artists. Julie Wheeler is the President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau serving Western Virginia. She walks us through the red flags that may crop up signalling a scam. She also tells us about the resources available through the BBB that can help you find quality companies, lodge a complaint and even help bring about a solution to a grievance.
The BBB also has a program called Ad Truth, which helps you recognize misleading advertisements and also provides an avenue for you to report fraudulent ads. Julie explains the program and more on this edition of Sisterhood of the Second Act.
